It is a fabulously sunny Sunday in the Bank Holiday weekend at the end of May, and we’ve been invited to a gathering of Rolls-Royce and Bentley motor cars…. Certainly not your standard run of the mill car meet… and organized by the Rolls-Royce Enthusiasts’ Club https://www.rrec.org.uk/.
It also is providing a chance for Graham to catch up with an old friend, and for us to take a closer look at the current Rolls-Royce Cullinan.
We spoke to:
- Ted Meachem of the Rolls-Royce Enthusiasts’ Club
- Michael Sapsford, owner of a marvellous Hooper bodied 1923 Rolls-Royce
- Morris Best from Rolls-Royce Motor Cars
- Fred Fruth, BMW’s man-on-the-ground (and Head of PR) when setting up Rolls-Royce Motor Cars at Goodwood
Many thanks to the Harry Strutters band http://www.harrystrutters.co.uk/ for entertaining (and assisting) us throughout the day and allowing us to use their music.
Thanks also to Stansted Park https://www.stanstedpark.co.uk/ for hosting the event.
